Delicious Delectables- Strawberry Balsamic Coffee Cake Delight!

by Maggie Kelleher

The Kelleher Family Golf Tournament. A reunion, a party, and a family get-together. AKA the perfect place for My Grandma's to be. How did we merge the two? With some awesome cake flavors and toppings, of course!  Looks sooo good, right?!

Let Them Eat Coffee Cake- Family Reunion or Golf Tournament? Cake Makes Them One!

by Maggie Kelleher

My Summer has been jam-packed with coffee cake, and this weekend was no exception, but this weekend's festivities were also packed with people, and why is that? It was our annual Kelleher Family Golf Tournament! This may be specific to my family, but we are hoping it might serve as some inspiration for your family to gather and share the things you love this Summer, and isn't My Grandma's about family, when it comes down to it?

Gluten-Free Gourmet- Feeding Your Sweet-tooth No Matter Your Diet

by Maggie Kelleher

Did you know that My Grandma's offers gluten-free dessert options? They may not be coffee cakes, but why should our gluten-free friends suffer watching us so enjoy our coffee cakes when they can't eat any? We believe in sharing the love and smiles that we are known for, and so why not include our gluten-free friends in on the fun?

Coffee Cake Balls- A Fancy Party Treat

 by Maggie Kelleher

If you are a regular follower of our blog, than you saw our last post about coffee cake ball chaos. If not, check it out, it's explosive (literally)! Also, follow us!

Well Conna and I are back to tell you how to make our dipping sauces (as mentioned yesterday) and how to dress up those cake balls to make this fun and kid-friendly treat prom-ready. Okay, it doesn't have to be prom, but I thought the homage might be cute.

Aaaanyways, we are going to show you how to do this:

Coffee Cake Balls- Making Coffee Cake A Finger Food

by Maggie Kelleher

Ever wanted to try a few different sauces with your cake? How about fulfilling the kids' sugar cravings in a (relatively) mess-free way? Or are you just looking for a way to eat cake as a mini snack? Try this idea on for size!

What do you know about cake balls? We don't know much. We are in the coffee cake business, after all, and coffee cake balls are not a widespread concept... yet! But despite our lack of knowledge I decided to give it a try, and enlisted my ten year old cousin Conna to help. Say "Hi" to Conna!

Flavorful Fundamentals- All About Walnuts!

by Maggie Kelleher

Do you like walnuts? We here at My Grandma's definitely do. We put walnuts in many of the cakes we make! Luckily for those of you saying "ewww" to the idea of walnuts, it is also possible to special order any of our cakes without walnuts if you so choose, but this particular post might not be for you.

Why not?

A delicious walnut and streusel ribbon runs through the center of our Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake.

Because this post is all about walnuts and the amazing things they do!

With the Fourth of July upon us, we have been thinking about the many soldiers who have fought for our country's freedom over the years, and we thought it might be a good time to share some our favorite treats with them, and you can, too!

Charming Crafts - Tin-talizing Garden Light

by Maggie Kelleher

Hi everyone! The Summer has gotten hold of my imagination, what about you? Something about sunshine and warm nights makes everything feel better! And to spice up those warm Summer nights I decided to try my hand at a My Grandma's craft this weekend. Let me know what you think!

I was inspired by a craft I saw on Pinterest by Crafts By Photo, and decided to give it a My Grandma's twist.

A cake tin is always so cute, and sometimes you just don't want to get rid of it, whether it has our logo or your pictures on it (did you know that you can order a personalized My Grandma's cake tin?!) But a pile of cake tins isn't very useful to anybody, so why not re-purpose them into something special?
