Delicious Delectables- Orange Salted Caramel- AND A GIVEAWAY!

by Maggie Kelleher

Do you ever feel like some projects are just too advanced for you? I always thought that with caramel. Whenever I look up recipes for making candy they just seem so detailed and complicated that only an expert can do them. Well I have been proven wrong. You may have seen our Valentine's Day Choco-love post, and if you did, then you would know that I made caramel last weekend, and it was so much easier than I ever imagined!

This recipe took me less than an hour, is adorable and delicious, and it goes so well with coffee cake!

I found it over here on Joy the Baker, and I just can't get over how easy and delicious it was!

Snow Day Procrasti-baking

by Maggie Kelleher

So you might have heard that we're expecting a blizzard and My Grandma's offices are going to be closed this Tuesday (January 27th)! We apologize in advance on behalf of the snow for any late cake deliveries this week. We promise we're trying our best to make sure that doesn't happen!

Well in case you're in the Boston area, we wanted to commiserate (or celebrate, depending on your view of snow-days) and share some ideas on what to do with your possible day off instead of your backlogged work.

How was your New Year's Eve? Did your 2014 go out with a bang and a giant party, or did it slide by as you cuddled on the couch? Well I have a coffee cake idea that is sure to make sure any New Year's goes off with a bang, even if it's enjoyed during a cozy couch cuddle. And at a party... it might just impress everyone.

What kind of cake idea could be so impressive?
How about a My Grandma's Coffee Cake Baked Alaska?

Charming Crafts- Thanksgiving Turkey Cake

by Maggie Kelleher

It's been a crazy few weeks, but I promise that I didn't forget about you, wonderful readers, and I wanted to share with you my fun Thanksgiving cake-ventures and a chance to win a cake of your own for Christmas 2014 or your late December celebration of your choosing. Scroll to the bottom of this post to enter to win!

Thanksgiving isn't easy, especially when you're hosting. Not only can family make even little things stressful sometimes (I love them to death, but sometimes...) but with all the food you have to make, sometimes dessert doesn't even register on the to-do list.

Have Pinterest and mall soundtracks gotten you into the Holiday mood yet? Well if not this just might.

I found a recipe the other day that just looked too gorgeous to ignore. These Sweet Winter Cranberries are not only sugary sweet, but are also sweet in that they are completely adorable and perfect for the winter season.

That frosty goodness!
