Have you heard of The Magical Moon Foundation?
The Magical Moon Foundation is a fantastic organization that works to help nurture and empower children with cancer. Their mission statement affirms that The Magical Moon Foundation:
"focuses on empowering children to use their inner strengths to manifest miracles in their lives. The magic behind the Magical Moon begins by encouraging children to find the warrior within. Rather than kids fighting cancer, they become brave young Knights turning their struggles into motivation."
Founded and directed by Donna Green, the Magical Moon Foundation provides motivation, fun, and priceless memories to area kids afflicted by cancer. And this great foundation is based right in our backyard, in Marshfield, MA.
Why is My Grandma's writing about this organization? Outside of the fact that we feel incredibly connected to our Boston area community and love to help where we can, Donna Green, the Founder and MVP of the Magical Moon Foundation is also an amazing artist who creates designs for our wonderful cake tins like these two.
Donna and the magnificent Magical Moon Foundation need some help and we wanted to lend them a hand. So we are here to spread the word about a fun fundraising event coming up this August! Because what is fundraising without some fun?
On Saturday, August 23rd, The Magical Moon Foundation is hosting a Farm-to-Table Banquet In The Garden at the farm they call home, and they would like you to join them. The banquet will feature an organic feast and dessert, with live music, silent and live auctions, and lots of wonderful kids to meet! Open to the public, this will take place from 6 to 10 pm the night of Saturday August 23rd, and tickets are only $100 and all proceeds go directly to The Magical Moon Foundation.
